Nestled in the heart of Bradenton, in Old Main Street’s historic Jennings Arcade, Manatee River Trading Company came to life. It was the vision of Lynn and Ben Hall; a celebration of coastal living and artistic expression.

“We have a love of Florida and Kentucky. I was born in Bradenton and spent my infancy on Anna Maria Island. Our family moved to Kentucky where our ancestors had been established for generations and where Ben I were raised.”

Roots were planted in Bradenton much earlier though, by my parents, grandparents and Great-grandparents. My grandparents, and great-grandparents spent many winters in Bradenton. As adults, ben and I moved to Bradenton and remained for nearly a decade before returning to Kentucky. Our current status is “Snowbird Wannabes,” with seasonal stays and visits with family in Bradenton.

the original boutique had a carefully curated selection of coastal home accents, children's beachwear, scented candles, exquisite jewelry, and other treasures awaited, each capturing the spirit of the nearby Manatee river, Anna Maria Island and the Gulf Coast.

The walls of the boutique were adorned with local artists' paintings offering glimpses of the picturesque beauty of nearby landscapes. Artistically painted signs made from locally reclaimed wood added to the coastal charm. The delicious selection of locally made gourmet mixes, dips, jellies, candy and popcorn filled the shelves, lotions, soaps and locally sewn children’s clothing and accessories showcased the creativity and craftsmanship of the community.  these were complimented by nationally recognized luxury brands.

With support from Family, who helped manage the shop, Manatee River Trading Company became a cherished destination for locals and tourists alike, drawn not only by the curated coastal offerings but also by the marina, restaurants, and nearby attractions, including the South Florida Museum.

The boutique reflected the harmony between Ben's passion for fishing and Lynn's desire for creative expression, a place where their shared passions found expression and offered a reflection of the beauty of coastal living.

Manatee River Trading Company became a beloved treasure—a place where the essence of the Manatee River and the allure of coastal living merged, creating a haven of art, beauty, and love for all who sought to explore its wonders.

It was a sad day when the brick-and-mortar store closed however, with a nudge from their family they were inspired to reopen the boutique online. Now you will find a growing selection of our unique, coastal-inspired, artistic designs, and apparel, accessories, art, puzzles, and home accents.
